Es war einfach fantastisch! Sayoko hat alles im Vorhinein mit mir abgesprochen, ich hab gut zum Treffpunkt hingefunden und die Erfahrung möchte ich nicht missen. Sayoko erzählt auch unterwegs viel über die Kultur und gibt Informationen über Japan, was sehr interessant war, sowie das Tragen dieses wundervollen Kimonos. Der Fotograf war auch sehr nett und professionell. Ich konnte die Fotos immer wieder auf der Kamera anschauen und die sind wirklich toll geworden, man bekommt sie jedoch erst ca in einer Woche was in Ordnung ist. Alles in allem ein sehr tolles Erlebnis und ich würde es auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at this tour. We selected our kimonos in advance and they were beautiful! We had all the necessary information to get to the meeting point so it was very easy to navigate. Getting dressed in the kimonos was a wonderful experience and the tour took us via a few quite roads to a lovely shrine park where we took a lot of photos. We preferred this tour to others in more crowded areas like Asakusa. Our host was very attentive and gentle and took fantastic photos of us. Lovely afternoon!

Wow. I just had a magical morning with Sayoko & one other guest. Sayoko has perfected this experience and the communication prior, including photos to find her location which is tucked into a quaint, safe neighborhood. Sayoko sent an email inquiring about sizes and gave me an option to pick from several kimonos and accessories (she has a wide range of sizes available). I went at the 0730 time and the shrine was near-empty which made it feel very personal and like we were welcome there. Sayoko took many photos and airdropped them before we left the session. She knows the perfect spots for photos and gave some suggestions for poses. She is friendly and open to sharing knowledge about Japanese culture. I learned from her and through asking questions. A wonderful experience that I would highly recommend!

The kimonos were beautiful and once she had dressed us in the ones we had selected we walked to a nearby shrine for a photo shoot. I felt so pretty, and my fiancée looked handsome. The walk to the shrine felt nice since you walk through the neighborhood. Sayoko taught me to walk elegantly and how to go over a stair step in my kimono. Sayoko even taught us the appropriate etiquette of visiting a shrine and to pray. If you want a unique cultural experience I recommend this tour with Sayoko. It was more than I expected! I got to select the exact kimono I wanted to dress as! I opted out of the hair and makeup and I did it myself! The Shrine we visited is a public free place you can visit on your own but I recommend coming here with Sayoko all dressed up and understanding the rituals of the shrine and the meaning behind if your not familiar with the practices here! She knows all the right angles and the post photo posts to capture beautiful memories here!

Sayoko is a lovely person. She is so kind, patient and sweet. She reached out in advance to make sure we were fitted properly and to give us several options for which kimono, obi and parasol to use. The temple location was lovely and we had some lessons in Japanese culture as well. It was rainy but Sayoko had us covered with rain umbrellas as well as the lovely parasols. She also has an eye for photography, taking many shots in several locations. She also made sure that we liked the photos before moving on. Such a fun and authentic experience!! We started with getting our hair done by a very kind and talented stylist. Then, we were dressed in kimono and walked to a nearby shrine for pictures. This was such a unique and wonderful experience. She was amazing and quick to communicate after I booked, always ready to help with any questions. She was also incredibly kind. What I especially loved about this kimono experience was that it took place at a beautiful shrine, just a short walk from where you get dressed. It wasn’t as crowded as some other locations, so the atmosphere felt more intimate, and you weren’t fighting through crowds. The area was charming, and after the shoot, you could wander around to enjoy local food and shopping. The location was also easy to navigate and close to the station. I took a taxi there and then used the train to get back. I also appreciated that she took photos with her phone (after booking, you can opt for professional photos for an additional charge, if you wish). However, the photos she took were just as beautiful, and she easily airdropped them to me. Oh and she will teach you how to pray at the shrine if you wish. It was neat to learn!

This is amazing, the kimono that Sayoko provided are REAL kimonos in premium quality fabric, you could feel it when you are wearing it. Extremely impressive. Totally out of my expectations. It is nothing like those you see at touristy areas, those kimonos probably are just pull-over. Now I do understand why Sayoko’s studio is slightly further from city and kimono selections might not be that vast, but trust me it worth every penny to try on her service. omg it was amazing I had an absolute great time. I got to try on a kimono and after that we set out to the (浅草寺)sensō-ji temple near by and got a tour on japanese etiquette for the temple and kimono etiquette(like grab it by the side don't scrunch it up ect.) Sayako was a very nice guide and funny too we got to chat a bit, I got very lucky she spoke English. 10/10 recommend trying this out if you hit Japan anytime, great way to burn time and learn something new.

We were late because we got lost on our way to meet Sayoko. Nonetheless, Sayoko was patient and accomodating. She was very detailed in dressing you up neatly. She was also a very good photographer finding nice spots and angles for our photoshoot. And she also explained to us briefly about kimonos and the culture when going to the shrine. The walk to the shrine was nice too. Peaceful and quiet. You’re the only ones wearing kimono there unlike in Asakusa. It wasnt crowded. The shrine was beautiful. I love the upcycled kimono umbrellas. Wanted to buy the one i was holding to that day but it was not for sale. You can tell that Sayoko put alot of thought process in curating a fun and comfortable experience. Will definitely recommend who anyone who wants to experience wearing kimono and touring in less crowded places. She offers additional services to the experience as well but due to our shortage of time in tokyo, we couldnt add-on.

This was so amazing and wonderful. Sayoko was in contact with me to give me the options for the dress as soon as I booked so everything was seamless the day of. I didn’t know how intricate the dress is and how classic and beautiful the design feels. This was also the best matcha I have ever had in my whole life. You get to see a tea ceremony with education and explanation of everything going on. After, you get to try to participate in the tea ceremony yourself which is harder than it looks. I highly recommend this activity. It’s only a few minutes walk from a train station and the pictures were beautiful. I wish I could do it again!

We paid extra for a professional photographer that tool 130 shots for us, the photos were amazing 😍 we had Sayoko our tour guide help us pick our kimono dresses and accessories prior to the day which we're amazing. We went on a short walk to the Nezu Shrine where Sayoko taught us how to pray and pay respects prior to entering the Shrine. It was a great experience highly recommend. We also paid extra to get our hair done traditional style to go with the kimino dress. Make-up however is not recommended, if you arr able to best to do your own.

Tour was great! Sayoko, the owner of is EXTREMELY professional and friendly! She promt and will text you information as soon as you book. She has directions photos with arrows once you arrive in the area what to do. Clean and comfortable cozy dress up place. It was was raining on my shoot day..... But I had no choice because I was leaving that afternoon for Osaka and Kyoto. Knowing she is one of the best in town she ensured my photos in my kimono with my 9 year old son turn out great! Sayoko dressed myself and my 9 year old daughter up in pretty kimonos, complete with belt, hairpiece, and umbrellas (all of our choosing). She’s definitely very organized so all of the options were laid out to us over WhatsApp beforehand. She also arranged hair and makeup beforehand at a nearby salon (both optional). We discovered there were a couple of other people also on our tour, so we got to meet some additional new friends. She brought us to a nearby shrine in a beautiful natural setting and took photos and videos of each of us using our own phones, with 8 distinct backgrounds (my daughter and I did some together and some separate), and also taught us a few things related to religious beliefs and customs. Throughout, she was very kind and patient.

I really enjoyed my tour with Sayoko! it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Because of the hot weather, Sayoko recommended I wear a yukata instead of a kimono, which I appreciated a lot. The kimono experience was great! Sayoko took wonderful care of me right from the start. She contacted me shortly after booking and discussed everything she needed to know, such as the choice of kimono, with me via WhatsApp. There was also the option of adding further options to the shoot. I also booked make-up and a professional photographer. We were two guests at the shoot itself. We were at a shrine nearby where there were great photo options. Sayoko and the photographer took a lot of time for us. It was a really great experience all round.

It was an absolutely perfect day! Sayoko took care of everything, the locations were beautiful and not too crowded. We visited a Shrine with many toriis, bridges, a garden and other great spots - just 5 minutes from the dressing place. My Kimono which I was able to choose from a great variety online in advance was sooo beautiful and I had all the required accessories as well (I was able to book the hairdresser as well, I can recommend this). It felt really authentic and I have tons of lovely pictures and videos. I'd book this experience again right away!

The rain was the only part that was unpleasent in the activity. Everything else was excellent and Sayoko was really the best. Communication was smooth and clear, she provided all the information we needed and even picked us up from the hair salon. She helped us chose the best kimono and then helped us get dressed up in her place. She took us on a lovely walk to a nearby shrine for some awesome pictures (photographer included as part of our package). Sayoko always helped us all the way holding umbrellas and giving suggestions for the photo shoot. My wife got stopped on the street a couple of times as other tourists wanted to take photos with her. That was all credit to Sayoko.

Wir hatten die Fotos mit iPhone mit verschiedenen Hintergründen und Posen. wir haben am gleichen Tag alle Fotos und Videos der Teezeremonie erhalten. Die Teezeremonie war sehr entspannt und interessant, es wurde viel erklärt und Fragen beantwortet. Englisch war kein Problem. Jeder durfte einmal Matcha Tee selbst anrühren. zum Abschied gab es ein kleines Give-away. Absolut empfehlenswert, sehr herzliche und freundliche Menschen, die darauf bedacht sind, dass man sich wohl fühlt. Ein kleiner Einblick in die japanische Kultur.

haben wirklich sehr schöne Bilder am Ende des Tages zusammenbekommen. Sayoko, welche uns angekleidet hat kann auch ein bischen Englisch und versucht alles gut zu organisieren. Wenn man die Haare und Make-up gemacht bekommen möchte, macht man das in einer anderen Location. Außerdem zahlt man dafür einen Aufpreis. Meine Empfehlung ist es Make-up und Haare am besten schon gemacht zu haben und dann zu ihr zu gehen. Das macht es mit der Zeitplanung einfacher. Die Kimonos sind wirklich sehr schön und ich bin froh etwas von der japanischen Kultur gelernt zu haben.

The neighborhood and the temple that we visited are beautiful, far from the hustle and bustle of other larger and more crowded temples. This was a well-organized kimono experience and the tour operator offers the option of getting your hair and makeup done, as well as a photographer to capture memories of your experience. This was the selling point for me as a lot of other places only let you rent a kimono and walk around in it for a day. Unfortunately it rained during my whole tour but it was still enjoyable and I had nice photos anyway. Some things to note are that you will have to choose the kimono online ahead of time, so please be aware of that, but there are many to choose from. A lot of similar tour operators have their locations in Asakusa, so it was nice to do this in a different location.

Ich habe zusätzlich die Tee Zeremonie gebucht. Der Tee war sehr lecker! Dazu wurden japanische traditionelle Süßigkeiten serviert. Sehr lecker! :) Währenddessen wird alles aufgenommen und ein kleines Shooting von der Zeremonie gemacht. Ich durfte dann sogar auch einen eigenen Tee machen. Mir wurde alles gut erklärt. Die Bilder habe ich direkt noch vor Ort gesendet bekommen! Ich kann dieses Erlebnis weiterempfehlen! Es hat sehr Spaß gemacht. :) ❤️ Vielen Dank an das Team ❤️

As a side note we did do the extra make up through this booking it was a salon, it was more of a Geisha makeup it is a whiter face style so this may be something to consider prior to booking.

This is an absolute MUST-DO activity in Tokyo! The team is extremely precise and professional, they really care for you to have the best experience. There's plenty of Kimono options to chose from, moreover, you have the chance to choose also the other accessories such as the umbrella, the obi and so on. Sayoko was an amazing host, giving careful instructions on how to arrive to the rental shop and explaining on how to behave at a shrine and what to do. She was very enthusiastic about taking many photos and videos for you, so even if you go alone you won’t feel shy or embarrassed. Photos are taken on an iPhone but you can pay more for a more professional shoot - so adjust your expectations accordingly if you decide not to take up the extra expense. The entire duration was not too long and I had a great time with a fellow guest who was also a solo traveler. We went to Nezu Shrine which was a beautiful location, but of course there are other people at the shrine so sometimes you have to wait for a good opportunity for photos. Incredible trip if you want a quick shoot in beautiful yukata.

Amazing!!! Sayoko dressed me in a kimono of my choice and there was lots to choose from. Authentic, beautiful silk kimono and photoshoot was so much fun! Take a trip back and immerse yourself in Japanese tradition! it was raining, but still ended up being perfect! you get to choose your colours of the dress and accessories, the lady is so do super sweet and kind. Sayoko offers a wonderful, personalized experience. Prior, I was able to select my kimono and umbrella. When I arrived she dressed me with all the authentic elements included. I appreciated that she taught me how to properly walk in the shoes. Also, she taught me all the appropriate parts of visiting a shrine. She then used her very good iPhone to snap a ton of gorgeous pictures and videos, which she sent to me immediately. Sayoko is kind with a great sense of humor. I recommend this experience for solo travelers, couples or friends!

I just had this amazing experience and I am so happy. Sayoko-San is as kind and sweet as she is beautiful. She checked the weather forecast and because it showed heavy rain and asked if I could reschedule. Luckily I did. She dressed us and we walked with her to a shrine where she took some gorgeous photos. She even took umbrellas for all of us (3 in our group plus the umbrellas matching the kimonos)I usually don’t like myself in photos but she did a fantastic job and all photos were great. I simply can’t recommend this enough.

I spent yesterday learning how to properly wear, walk, and sit in a Japanese Kimono. This included training on the holding of the silk purse and silk umbrella for an upcoming wedding.

I only scratched the surface of this remarkable Japanese clothing culture. The kimono is a symbol of longevity and good fortune. Specific motifs were used to indicate virtues or attributes of the wearer, or relate to the season or occasion such as weddings and festivals where it bestows good fortune on the wearer. I felt very lucky all put together properly in my kimono.

Great experience especially if you are looking to put on an ‘authentic’ silk kimono. Host has a great collection donated from locals and the quality is high. The photos of the kimonos were also accurate. Note that there is no makeup and hair and photos are snapped casually with an iphone. So do arrange for top-ups if expect something more professional. Sayoko is a very responsive and friendly host. Overall experience is good if you love beautiful kimonos!

We had a fun morning with Sayoko! She reached out to us the day before asking us to choose our kimono. We met her at a beautiful hotel where she helped us get dressed in the kimonos. Afterwards we walked around the Japanese garden on the grounds of the hotel. Sayoko took pictures for us using our own cameras with the beautiful traditional background. Make sure your phone or camera is charged because in the 2 hours, I used half of my phone's battery to take pictures. But the pictures came out great!
